Well the season continues to be a good one. Found this bruiser today, probably around 250 before being cleaned up. Big old head on him, pretty good bear for MT. I was happy to be able to get him with my bow.

I thought I would share this with everybody. A friend of mine killed this bear last week. Bear had been living in a corn field all year. Should be the new MT state record for weight.

Skull was 21 3/8 and the hide was 82 inches nose to tail.

How about measureing across the front feet & the chest ? So if you lay the hide fur side down & spread it out measure across the chest from front toe to front toe..

That bear will square 7' or so.. 21" is the minimum for B&C all time. Probably should have him officially measured.
