I put a Leupold Freedom on my .22 and am totally satisfied with it. It is a reasonably priced scope with good optics, but I certainly would upgrade to the III's for a hunting rifle.

OOF DA MAIA!!!! There are those who will pay no matter what the cost, but I expect that many who have applied for the special tag in the past will drop off the list. That will put even more NR applicants back to the "regular" priced tag. Even at that, it's not cheap. MY 2022 GEN elk lic...

Weather is always a factor also. Warm weather during early hunts, cold & snow during later hunts, or either at any time can change everything.
