I agree CC, one thing that I have found over the past couple of years is that there are some truly wonderful young people in the latest generation, all the craziness that we see on television doesn't represent all of them. Hopefully in month or so I will be posting my daughters first elk picture.

Hard to beat a Leopold

I have always purchased whatever was on sale and I agree with ScottR, the Ameristep makes a pretty good reasonably priced product. The problem I have had is the for some reason the bears will not leave them alone. I have had three blinds destroyed by bears, very frustrating.

I brought two antelope heads back to Michigan a few years ago. They are not on the list of banned animals or at least they weren't then. From what I have heard they are not capable of getting or spreading CWD.

It is somewhat refreshing to see a billionaire pouring his money into hunting causes instead of anti-gun, anti-hunting liberal crap. At least every year I get to see pictures of some magnificent animals. That ram is absolutely incredible. I have eaten Jimmy Johns several times usually lunch...

I was born in Hermansville, 25 miles east of Iron Mountain. Southern Menomenee county is full of bears, last week we video taped a nice one rubbing it's back on my apple tree about 30 yards off my back deck.

Congratulations! The bear numbers are really high in the southern UP the last couple of years of years with some really big bores running around. Not sure what the eastern UP is looking like but I am guessing your going to have a lot of fun.

We have a bigger one, still figuring it out but it's a lot of fun to cook on.

Based on that data, looks to me like they made a good decision.

Used to hunt them with hounds, we would let the dog go in a corn field and wait for him to tree the coons. A good dog, good light and a .22 and you will have a blast.

Some of the areas that I keep track of actual had a negative point creep, one area took 9 points last year and 7.5 this year. It looked quite a few folks putting in with 18 pps for tags they could draw with <10.
