    Does anyone still hunt turkeys?

I opened my tail gate this morning and a couple of toms answered. I guess i worded my questions wrong, does any one "still hunt" or spot and stalk turkeys? not does anyone go hunting for turkeys. I had a tom all fanned out at the house yesterday morning. The hen did not care.

What do you think you'll draw 2023

I doubt i will draw anything, but elk is otc for me in idaho, so not worried about drawing. Better to hunt bulls every year, than waiting years for a little bit bigger bull.

    Memories of Hunts Past

Last hunt I did with my dad. He is on the far left. I am wearing the orange felt hat. Lots of stuff happened on that hunt. Nothing with my dad, but I choose to go off on my own after this hunt. Selway Bitterroot wilderness. My dad passed about 10 years after this picture. I don't regret...

    Does anyone still hunt turkeys?

I don't know if this is an acceptable method of killing a turkey or not, but find where they roost, and set an ambush up when they come out of the tree in the morning. They seem to roost in the same tree for quite awhile. you can buy 5 tags otc, where i am located.

    Does anyone still hunt turkeys?

Doing a walk last night, i walked up on a flock of turkeys. I do it all the time actually. Does anyone just still hunt turkeys? They always seem to let you walk with in 20 yards of them, before they start running off. ps i don't hunt them, they seem to easy.

Another article on Wyoming's tough winter

look on the bright side, should be a minimal fire year. But also remember, not all the west has had an epic winter. Normal winter here in north idaho. The elk where out feeding on the open hillsides, the toms where strutting and i was enjoying a foot of pow on my sled.

    Colorado

I don't hunt colorado, but i hear this in other states. Personally i would rather shoot a raghorn every year than a chance at a big bull every couple of years. You can't eat horns, but i have become very used to eating elk.

    Wolves

I keep forgetting this is new to some of you and old news to me. Same thing occured a couple of miles from my house. a few years ago in Idaho. I don't follow colorado hunting enough to know if they allow hound hunting for cats and bears. If colorado does, that is where the majority of dogs...
