I like his new defense about not pulling the trigger. But then that is the typical liberal excuse, it's not my fault but the guns

Can't help you much but if you are in bear territory in Montana you are in Grizzly country. Are you set on Montana. I know a good outfitter up in British Colombia just a short ways across the border

    6.5 Creedmore Ammo

For those who might think about getting into loading check with gun clubs in your area. They may have a bench set up somewhere. When I started there was a feed store that had some presses set up and you could use theirs as long as you purchased the components from them.

    6.5 Creedmore Ammo

It isn't as detailed oriented as a lot think that it is. You should be able to shoot a case 3 or 4 times before it needs to be trimmed. Primer pockets and fairly clean through a couple of loadings, and for bullet seating depth you can just use a factory load to start with. The powder...

    6.5 Creedmore Ammo

Here are some rough estimates A whole kit that will have 90% of what you need as far as tools will run you anywhere from $250+ with a good RCBS or Hornady running you $450 Dies for your caliber and a shell holder $40 for the dies and around $5 for the shell holder. Brass, I like Hornady $50...

    6.5 Creedmore Ammo

Years ago one of the gun magazines did a article on what was better, factory rounds or reloaded ammo as far as accuracy. They came to the conclusion that factory if you find the right ammo is just as good as the home brew ammo. The only problem being that the factory is going to cost a lot...

    Colorado 4th Season Updates

I can see if you are not too mobile with animals and renting a cabin. But then that is why they call it hunting, you just never know where you might find those animals on a weird years like this one as far as weather. I know that some relatives of mine had a hard time getting into the...

    Colorado 4th Season Updates

Sometimes you just need to rethink and instead of pounding that same spot day in and day out you need to move if you want to be successful. This years weather has thrown a few curve balls into folks hunting plans. Yesterday on my way back from Utah I spotted a nice 4x4 buck at 9,000 feet...

    6.5 Creedmore Ammo

I have actually done the comparison on cartridges down to 7mm Rem mag and it also follows the same curve. The premium bullets for the 7mm are about the same price for those for my .340. It just takes less powder. Those same premium rounds for that 7mm Rem mag are running around $80.00 for a...

    6.5 Creedmore Ammo

Just as a example on the cost of factory vs reloading. My .340 Weatherby likes premium loads. The factory box of 20 round will run you around $125.00 I can reload that same round for $1.00 a round or $20 for a box of 20. Now when I go and purchase new components the cost will go up some...

Texan bow hunter killed by Pennsylvanian muzzle loader

I was talking to a friend about this just today and was thinking that if I was archery hunting when the muzzle loader was going on that I would be wearing some camo orange instead of full camo

Texan bow hunter killed by Pennsylvanian muzzle loader

I doubt that they will change the muzzle loader season but I can see them possibly having archery hunters wear some form of orange. On the seasons there are now so many that there are going to be overlapping ones no matter what they do
