The sig is way better then the Vortex. I have the 2400 and I am very impressed with it. I’ve had no problems with reading the display during full sun.

I would agree with at least a 1hp grinder. I also use a sausage stuffer instead of using the grinder to stuff. It works so much better. I also have a cabelas scale, and dehydrator.
