    The Memes Thread!

Gr8, surely you can do better than posting fake labels on pictures of random people. Throw out some good stuff that Joe is getting done... wait

    2021 Fishing

Yes, that's the official name used in the regulations here. They fight like no other fresh water fish. 2nd best is it small mouth but they don't make long runs like the wiper.

    2021 Fishing

Thanks! We do the trip annually on the first weekend in August. We have been going for 8 years and this was honestly our worst year. We typically catch 400+. This year we ended up with about 250- just over 80lbs in fillets. All fishing from shore, no guide, and using all artificial. Great...

    2021 Fishing

Had a great weekend with family chasing white bass, walleye, smallmouth, and wiper. Fish supply for the winter is good.

    College Visit

I would like to think this is a bit of natural selection and population control... at least that's the only way I can make sense of it.

Preferred cartridge? Grip and grin pic added

Literally any big game caliber shooting any legal bullet will be fine. I prefer to shoot them with bonded, controlled expansion bullets to keep meat loss to a minimum. My last several were with a 30-06 and 165 grain Hornady interbond. Almost no meat loss with a behind the shoulder shot.

    Time to buy points.

I used elk last year and deer and antelope this year. The only points I have left are moose. I'll keep making my donations for at least a few years until I see how everything will pan out.

    Beginner Elk Hunt- Wyoming

Yes. There will be a lot more general tags available since they will be removed from LQ areas. Wyoming will still sell 7,250 elk tags to non residents. It's just a matter of where those tags are allocated. I do think there will be an initial exodus of point holders so you may see a year or...

Wyo Task Force - Nonres Comments!

I think a lot of people are, or soon will, learn their lessons regarding preference points.

Wyo Task Force - Nonres Comments!

How would a 50/50 split work in areas there is only 1 permit? There would be several big 5 with only 1 in a 90/10 system.

Wyo Task Force - Nonres Comments!

I completely understand your point of view on this. It would be hard to predict but I'm guessing not a lot of people would roll their points. The reason I state that is the vast majority of big 5 point holders didn't look at the math when they began. They are blindly buying points for...

Wyo Task Force - Nonres Comments!

That's assuming no new applicants move into the draw after the change. That wouldn't be reality and the wait for areas like 61 would be much longer. Wyoming residents won't go for the waiting period. If I lived there, neither would I honestly. Wyo residents want to apply for whatever area...

Wyoming NR general tags - how many point required this year ??

Change is never fun when it negatively impacts people. I'm sure people were mad at other states when changes were made as well but I'm guessing the news wasn't as widely publicized on outdoor forums at the time those changes were made. You still thinking 50% random and 50% bonus points will be...

    Canadian Border Opening!

Need to have a hunt giveaway- north of the border waterfowl. Guessing that would generate a lot of interest.
