Agree with Slugz. I've seen many of mega deer get shot in 0 pt units and 20 point units, 2nd, 3rd, 4th whenever but they key factor was time put in

I'm going to try but long task to be able to draw. After wounding a 200-205" buck last year (full pass thru, just in front of front leg, great blood trail) and him miraculously sealing the wound and pulling thru, I chased him for 6 more days to no avail. Still recovering from all that heartache...

Little late to this thread. I bought an ATX and 65mm objective last spring. It, for me, makes a huge difference over the ats. Many reasons include: crisper image, extremely packable, ability to buy multiple objectives, way better eye relief, and the most important of zooming in without losing...

Use and practice with diaphrams. I just switched to phelps bugle. Most realistic and ease of use bugle out there for crisp sounds. Of course, u need a lot of practice to match diaphrams to situations and sounds Everyone prefers different

MT elk, KS deer, SD birdies and of course CO hunts

Vortex Viper HS 2.5x10 would be a good one. Otherwise any 3x9 would work just fine

Just like I tell everyone who I talk to when they ask about our success with mature animals: doesn't matter what state, but "throw a dart" and back your choice. We know you are aiming for the bullseye, but everyone is. Be happy if you don't hit the bullseye on your first throw and do everything...

hahah I know it's dreaming, but it would be nice if Cali-rado treated its residents as well as they do in you know, every other western state, especially WY and MT. It would take adding any 4 western states NR % of tags to equal what CO gives out...

Agreed.... but just for NR. They already get 35% of tags, least they could do is limit them from OTC overcrowding
