Have you ever heard about any feedback from Colorado's CP&W about the project that they were doing north of Rifle in units 32 and 33 I believe where they were trying to decrease the bear and mountain lion populations? This started a few years ago and I have not heard a thing about it since.

The factory rings are pretty good. I'd try the tape trick or a something that would add just a bit of extra friction between the rings and scope.

Did you lap the rings before you mounted the scope? I've heard of people using a piece of tape between the scope and rings to provide some friction when tightened down. I have a scope on my 7-30 Waters on my TC Contender and never had any problems. I have sheared off a couple of base...
