Just got mine yesterday, daughter got hers on Friday

Yeah, I’ve had a few incidents with ATVs over the years myself, as soon as I get confident and let my guard down I get humbled!

Can’t help but wonder what role the beer played in him getting stuck under the ATV in the first place.

10 years ago I would have considered myself a die hard do whatever it takes kind of hunter. For the last 10 years I would consider myself more of a mentor, focusing more on teaching my kids and helping them fill their tags. My youngest is now 15 so in a couple more years I’ll be back to die hard.

We do homeschool and that’s exactly why!

For big game I started my kids with a 7mm-08. Started them off with 120 grain bullets to reduce recoil. After getting them the 7mm-08, I purchased a second one, I and they have become big 7mm-08 fans.

The first time I drew an elk tag in Wyoming we went for the archery season and we literally were surrounded by elk within an hour of getting there. The guide we hunted with said that the wolves made the elk in that area a lot less vocal and therefore a lot harder to locate. I took his word for it, we were there around September 20th and never heard a bugle. I would do it again though, I really enjoyed the whole trip.

I’ve been to Idaho, probably my favorite place. My first day in the Frank Church I was in total awe. I was a horrible elk hunter because I couldn’t stop admiring the scenery. By the way what unit do you hunt in again?

I actually understand the 90:10 argument and don’t blame the residents for pushing it. I finally got this rifle a couple weeks ago. I put a Vortex Diamond Back 4-12 on it, shoots great I am really happy with it so far and so are both of the young ladies. Looking forward to this fall’s antelope hunt.

I don’t think anyone is questioning the legality of these changes or if the state has the right to do it.

I agree, we end up with pictures of bobcats, fishers, wolves and all sorts of stuff. Usually my daughter and I fight over who is going to check the chip. I do think that the cellular cameras are a step to far though.
