Sources of Revenue for Wyoming Game and Fish

Unfortunately there is no perfect answer, someone will always complain about on thing or another. If paying towards a point system helps Game and Fish protect wildlife from those who cheat us all of opportunities then count me in. Some tags I think should be a once in a lifetime draw in that...

Colorado off the rails? - WOLVES

Apparently the wolf didn't know there was a border. Hopefully they are using the collar to track and eliminate the wolf and any associated wolf pack. I don't care what folks say, wolves are killing machines and yes they will bring a natural balance but then what happens to the hunters, or is...

    Harvest Data report

Seems Wyoming has made it easier to report your harvest data. Hopefully folks take the 5 minutes to complete the online surveys. I still pour through the reports with a grain of salt though since you can't be sure how honest folks are. Like all things its only a part of the puzzle.

    Unit 16 Elk Wyoming

There are some really good bulls there and a lot of pressure from cow hunters on the public lands. The elk tend to escape to the ranches and once there with limited pressure they stay especially during rifle, bow is your best bet. I've actually seen ranches "checking fence" with 4 wheelers...

High country mulies 21' who's in??

I had planned to give Western Wy a go last year for the first time and then I managed to tear my bicep tendon off the bone in late July, ending that dream. I even applied for a Colorado NR last year too. So now I need to get back to the gym in hopes to go after a good Wy mulie and see if a...

    Wyoming Moose

Okay, after banging my head against the wall a few times and a lot of indecisiveness I put in for Area 24 and hope for a dump truck full of luck. There are a few areas that a person with 13 points are more likely to draw a tag but I couldn't help myself. Now the waiting and hoping game begins

    Wyoming Moose

It appears Hilltop and BuzzH you believe I may be getting less than accurate information. I'll try to contact the regional office and talk to the biologist out that way. I have time to do some more homework. Thanks

    Wyoming Moose

One of my friends wife had 16 points and drew Area 24 tag last season. They waited until late Oct and she harvested a small bull they spotted from the road. They went during bow season but didn't see much. Locals told them the moose don't come down to lower elevations until late Oct, pretty...

    Wyoming Moose

I am a Wyoming resident and currently have 13 preference points. As most moose hunters I have been chasing point creep and I find I'm on the edge of having enough to draw one but can't seem to get there. A few years ago I even tried to settle for a cow and that year 5 of 6 folks with 9 points...
