Can You Identify These Trout and What state They were Caught In?

Beautiful fish! I caught Goldens when I was a kid down there, they're pretty too. They taste just like a rainbow!

    Blacktail 2021

You'll have plenty of options. A boat-based hunt would be fun and you can move around to find the deer. I have several guide friends that would be good also, they are shore based. December weather can be tough, and you may want to plan for a day or two on either end of your trip for weather...

    Truck Tires - on/off RD

When I lived off of the Dalton highway (haul road) a 450 mile gravel road, I went thru a bunch of different brands of tires. The only ones that never let me down were Coopers. They get my vote!

    Hello from Eastern Washington

Welcome and thanks for your service! RICMIC, that is highly likely a Barren Ground caribou. There is a very small herd of mountain caribou south of Tok but It's not a hunted population. It's not recognized as a species in Alaska by Fish and Game.

    Nothing beats shot placement

Wow, some of those pellet guns are pretty strong shooters. I had a Benjamin pump as a kid and always thought it was capable of killing a deer if shot in the right spot. Like you said, nothing beats shot placement!

    Alaska Bound

Either of your rifles will be great. I'm not sure I'd bring the .44 but never hurts to have one. My favorite moose gun was a 35 Whelan.

    GETTIN OLD.......

It looks like a bunch of us are in the same boat! I'm 65 in October, with 5 knee surgeries and a shoulder surgery, so far. I'm still getting out there, but not near as fast and as far as I used to. Hang tough C.C., you're a younger 77 than anyone I've ever met!

    Poacher Gets Lifetime Ban

I have to agree that a lifetime ban in this case means very little. His licenses have been suspended twice before. It's not likely that his behavior will change now. Lengthy jail time and big fines are needed for him.

    Alaska caribou

Brooks Range aviation is a good choice, so is Coyote Air service in Coldfoot. My first choice is almost always 40 Mile Air service in Tok.

    June 25th bull

This guy is in an area just on the edge of Anchorage that I hike frequently. Can't hunt there, but I enjoying seeing some really good bulls that hang out there, especially in the fall during the rut. A great place to practice calling them and trying to get a photo! I like flying low...but not...
