I have a buddy that was planning a private land elk hunt this year in 411, but landowners told him they have recently found a lot of dead elk. Anyone hear anything about this?

I've antelope hunted the area during the last week of Sept, didn't see many mulies running around, but wasn't looking. Did see some nice bucks at night by the roads, so I know they are there.

It took me two days of traveling to get to final destination in SE Alaska from IN. The adventure started with a 6 AM flight out of Chicago, along with a 8.5 hour lay over in Seattle before arriving in Ketchikan around 730 PM, that makes for a very long day once you add the 4 hour time...
