Has anyone else received e-mails from this garbage left wing group posing as a group to protect hunting and fishing interests. These guys asked me for a donation so i did a little homework and found out how shady they are. The groups last two chairman are far left leaning environmentalist that will not even take a stance on gun control. I think gun rights are pretty important to hunters. Anyways thought I would share, I will give my money to true sportsman groups like RMEF!

The TRCP has an impressive list of pro hunting organizations as partners. Do you have links to support your claims? I'm not trying to argue, just want to read more about this. I'm not a member of TRCP; I just always thought they supported hunting as a conservation tool no matter what the weapon of choice.

I am not saying everything they do is bad but when a group is so friendly to and in bed with groups that are anti fire arms and hunting it makes you wonder. RMEF and other true pro hunting organizations do not have such strange bed fellows is my point. You are right though, they do have some reputable partners in the industry such as DU, The Pope and Young Club, Mule Deer Foundation and others.

Thats really something else. Makes me wonder why some of the partners mentioned above are partners to begin with. Thanks for bringing this to our attention.

Several years ago I got an unsolicited invitation to join this organization. I am a history buff and have followed Teddy Roosevelt's life for years. There are a lot of things about him I respect and some I don't. But that is not the point...this organization is.

When you look further into the funding sources, backing organizations and their goals, I decided it wasn't for me. Too much politics to suit me. If I were going to donate any of my money to an organization that reflects my beliefs, it would be to REMF and NRA. I am members in both and support them, even tho the NRA is really into politics up to their eyeballs.

This is true, but unfortunately somebody has to be involved at that level or they won't have a leg to stand on. You have to fight the battle at the top and that is in Washington. In the end all of these issues we face as hunters are dealt with through politics...tag fees and quotas, wolf and predator issues, and one of the most frustrating to me personally-Global Warming. Thanks for the insight on TRCP.
