Thanks for the info guys! What is the temps/weather usually like that time of year in that area?
I would say you could experience any weather. It was 3-4 years ago a friend had the Hawthorne tag is that time frame and they had snow and crappy conditions. Really wet and muddy. But it could be 70-80 and sunny on the flats. Nv weather can really change.

A joke I hear is of you move or come to Nv and don't like the weather, wait 20 minutes lol.

Around here the joke is if you dont like the weather wait 5 minutes and it will change. It can be true sometimes too! Not sure I ever been to NV in the summer but seems like it would be pretty hot during the aug/sept early seasons and it would be harder to hunt?

I don't think it is hard in that time. Still see the pronghorn like on any other hunt. Water becomes key though, unless you are near a field/ ranch.

It is usually pretty warm pronghorn hunting though.

I expect water wound be key on the later hunt too unless there were some early storms?

I just got a call from a friend that he saw a lot of elk and big bulls south of jackpot along the highway a couple days ago!

They migrate through there every year, always good bulls to be seen.

Yep, migrating.

Unless you get some rain, they usually are dependent on water, if there aren't multiple near by.

I would later on they still need water, but depends on the weather.

Well I'm going to take a drive over to Cabelas (only 30 min away) not much else to do on a Saturday morning. They are having a 50% off of everything in their store "Bargain Cave" for the first 5 hours today.

Probably wont find anything but you don't know unless you go!!!

My wife just read an article to me saying the average person on welfare in NY gets around $44,000 in assistance a year! Why do I work. I not only work but take every second of overtime I can to build my retirement. If I went on welfare I would be home this afternoon like a normal person instead of going to work to serve those on welfare. Sorry for rant.

here in washingtin a full time minimum wage job is a big down grade from welfare too. Really doesnt give then any incentive to get a job. I agree welfare needs a serious overhaul in this country. I dont mind helping people but there has got to be limits and you got to be able to pass a drug test.......

I'm sad to see it's the same all over this country. I couldn't agree more with if someone is mentally or physically disabled we should give them all the aid we can. I can't see paying someone to stay home, drink and fight. And MM your def right. I was and am drug tested for my job and I feel welfare should do same. Around here welfare would go down about ninety percent!

I think a drug test would cut welfare by over 1/2 across the country and I agree you have to pass to work so should have to pass for welfare too. Alot of the ones on it know how to work the system. I know of people on disability with nothing wrong with them other then they are lazy, and I also know someone that was legitimately injured on the job and can not work now as much as he would really like to and has had nothing but problems getting disability.
