Antelope brats, antelope breakfast sausage, antelope jerky, antelope burgers, antelope steaks, seems like someone killed an antelope around here or something!! LOL! All ground and seasoned, stuffing sausage and start smoking it tomorrow:)
Thats the hard part! Like watching paint dry. Love the smoke flavor. Hate the wait

Getting some nicer bucks on that ranch last few years! It always got hunted pretty hard when I was growing up. Since we started being alot more selective its gotten alot better. I saw some real nice bucks before and after the season the last few years I was there but never could find them during the season. The older bucks pretty much turn nocturnal during the season and bed in big canyons full of big grease brush during the day where they are nearly impossible to spot. If you get a year where the season runs late and they start to rut the last few days can get interesting in a hurry! I have a couple decent bucks from there I was pretty proud of at the time but nothing big.

Well in my spare time I've been working on the girl's Blazer. We rebuilt the engine, installed last weekend and fired it up yesterday. Paint is next in the "to do" list.

I won the biggest most prestigious team roping event in the entire country, way bigger than the NFR or Cheyenne Rodeo!

The 30 pack invitational team roping!

In reality we have a group of friends that come over for a little party that I dreamed up 10 years ago. Every contestant puts a 30 pack of their favorite beverage in the horse tank of ice for an entry fee, then the winners get to split the proceeds AFTER the party. We make big roasters of chili and have probably 15-20 ropers and 100 spectators each year. All the spectators are welcome to the entry fees also so there is not always much left for the winners other than bragging rights, but everyone has a great time. Always fun to get the community together on a nice fall day.

Wife cuts, I rope, we both hate having to watch each other! She says there is minimal class in ropin, I say cutting is too prep. Its a win lose.
