Colorado unit 66 help

I drew a tag in the gunnison this year in unit 66. It's a 2nd season tag and I was wondering if anyone had any first info this year I would greatly appreciate it. My dad and I are debating about turning in our tags. I've asked around and haven't heard anything good or bad. First time in the area so anything would be appreciated. Thanks

Call up the warden for that unit, and talk to him.

Talking to the unit warden seems to be an unknown method of researching a unit. Even when you suggest it they don't seem to do it. Nobody, and I mean nobody knows a unit like the warden. I've never found one that wasn't helpful.

I've hunted in 55 five times, the last time was for deer in 2011. From what I have heard, Unit 66 and 67 are doing the best in the Gunnison Basin right now. The third season tag is the best but takes a lot of points to draw.

That's easy. I should of told you in the first post. Just call up the DOW, and tell them what you want to do. They'll give you his number. The DOW is really very helpful. They want you to have a good time, and kill game.
