Due to the massive popularity of the 2013 Nevada draw results thread, I thought I would start this thread early for 2014.

I can hardly wait, it is only one year until the 2014 Nevada draw results are out :)

Man I sure hope I draw tags this year! I can hardly stand myself with the anticipation! Not much longer and we will find out what we got.

Can't wait to find out what sheep unit I drew. Hope it's near Vegas so I can visit the brother-in-law.

Umpqua Hunter,

I kicked off draw season early, scoring a Wyoming unit 38 archery elk tag. So due to that I changed a ton of my other apps this year to avoid Sept. 10-30th, for top end units or points only. Only other solid shot is Wyoming red desert pronghorn with max points for a 50% chance. That would make for a great combo hunt in close proximity. If I pulled anything in Nevada it would just be gravy.

Would not mind no more tags because my new g/f wants me to fly to China to visit her. I would use my vacation days there. Speaking of which I have found a great way to ease the anticipation of draw results.......find new hot asian g/f. She knows exactly how to make me forget draw results.

That's the way to do it Zim, draw in the first draw of the year! That sure takes the pressure off.

Yes it made for an interesting application season this year. All my other state apps had to be evaluated and changed as necessary. As a result, I applied for many new units I had not applied for earlier, due to season dates.

That's a good problem to have.

The last two years we were down to crunch time (this time of the year) before we started drawing any tags. Last year we ended up with too many. Beginning next year I plan to start clicking off hunts and using points, which SHOULD make the tag draws a bit more sane and predictable.

Same here for me next couple years. I should be guaranteed to draw our Arizona archery elk unit 1 in 2014, and Oregon Mt. Emily or WW in 2015. The results won't be available until well after all my other apps are submitted those years, but my odds are so high I will cater all my other apps as if I have those 2 tags in pocket. Oregon may be iffy, but it's nonrefundable so I won't be gambling much.

Good luck to everyone waiting on Nevada (unless you picked my sheep units).

Zim....I think my son and I will likely go for Unit 1 archery in Arizona next year with 13 points averaged between us. I wonder what it took this year to draw?
