Thanks hvfd... It always adds a new element with a young hunter. This spot is literally 5 minutes from my house so I have been able to scout it daily for birds to move in. Put 3 toms to roost Wednesday but school the next day, so no dice there. Put this guy to roost last night. After coming home and evaluating the morning hunt, I knew we needed a blind. So at 10:30 last night I went back out and set up the double bull. So this morning we are sneaking in at 5:40am, pitch black, we get to the blind and my daughter lets out the biggest sneeze. Felt like the wind was knocked out of me. She had no clue of course, another learning opportunity i guess. Long story but it obviously all came together.

The sad part, she'll probably not ever know all the effort put in to make it a success. But I'm the same effort was put in to get me started :)

Anyways.. called the wife and she brought the little man down, I guess he's next :)

Love it. So for rambling :)

Nice bird and awesome pictures. I missed turkey with my bow opening morning, shot right over his back at 15 yards with my bow.

Hey Montana that is so awesome. We have our first child due on August 11. Im so excited to have the experiences you are having. Plan taking her to her first lion tree after 1 year old. Its gonna be a whole new experience for me.

Very cool Montana! I'll bet she can't wait until she has her first big game tag. My daughter is 12 this year, and it will be her first year deer hunting, she can hardly wait :)

It really is awesome to start them out young. Its a big sacrafice on our behalf when it comes to quality of animal but you gain quality of experience huge:) I have video of my daughter ripping a bugle with a chuckle in her car seat. Too fun.

Thanks everyone. Fun to share.

We are having our first this December, I cannot wait. All I think about is taking her with me on our outdoor adventures.
