One more D14 4x4 hits the dirt!! This one had a whitetail type rack on the right side and a typical mule deer rack on the left. One of the biggest bodied bucks I have seen come from Sanberdoo County. We met these very nice guys while hunting and on Saturday they beat me and Muleys 24/7, into my honey hole!! (Sorry Muleys 24/7, only if we got there sooner, Damit!! lol) They shot the buck on a ridge just above us, so we walked up to them and assisted with the gutting and dragging back to the truck. Had a great time and made new friends.

Don, a few times I've seen bucks chasin does in D-14 around the last week of oct.
Yeah, but they're just checkin the doe's out. I bet if you call a game bio he'll say they start around first week Nov. and mid to end of Nov. heavy into it. After season closes of course. I'm not doubting you though ! :)

Hey Don, actually I'm done hunting D-14 for the season. I'm preparing for my Colorado hunt (Elk and Deer) and leaving on Wednesday. I won't be back till 11-12-12. It was a short but successful season.

Yea, I had a great time too. It's always a good time getting out in the woods. I'll probly head up another time or two before season ends just to see if I can make something happen.

Good luck on your Co. hunt ! I'm leaving for Wy. Mon.. Have an area 125 deer tag, a doe deer tag and doe lope tag.
My son and friend have Reg. F deer tags and doe tags also. Going to be busy but one good thing is that their season ends the 10th, mine the 15th :) I'll head back the 16th or 17th at the latest.

Got my first Buck yesterday! I'll figure out how to post pics this weekend but he's a forky. A new hunting bud and friend helped me out from glassing him up to putting him in the freezer!

Saw some fresh tracks today near Thomas grounds. Anyone know if Seven Oaks is off limits to hunt muleys? I'm still empty handed this year, but have a few more days left to push...

Validated a buck taken yesterday from the wilderness (desert side). VERY nice buck.....a 24" wide 5x4 with decent tine length and exceptional mass. There's still some good ones in there from time to time.

I killed 3 bucks in Thomas hunting grounds back in 1979 and early 80's. My first D14 buck was there. Was all D11 back then , On the south side of 10 frwy was D11 also. The San Jacinto mtn area. If it snowed, Thomas was good. Seven Oaks is legal as not on private like Muleys said.

Thanks for the reply. My brother just got his first 3x2 from d19 3 days ago and is picking up the goods today. We are on the way out today to make something happen for me.
