Muzzleloader pleads not guilty in fatal shooting of bow hunter

The not guilty plea is what his attorney told him to do. He didn't intentionally shoot the other guy so he's pleading not guilty. They don't penalize em more for lying, so that's what they do.

So whadda ya do?

In lieu of jail, I think he should be required to help pay for the dead guy's wife and family to live for the rest of his and their lives. Same for drunk drivers and such. Jail is easy peasy, the victim's families are hurting - help them, they had nothing to do with the crime and have everything to pay & suffer over the actions of an idiot.

Bet there would be a lot less stupid crimes if folks were made to make true restitution, which is a lifetime's worth of helping pay for the victim's family to live.

I have a nephew who got a girl pregnant (he was 21) and a court judged him responsible and he was ordered to pay child support. He is now 40 and never paid a dime, he owes over $200,000 that will never be paid. He is a low life, but it just shows that financial responsibility means nothing if someone doesn't want to pay or have the ability to do so.

His wife and kids will have to sue him civily, as they should, to help offset the financial burden they now have without their husband and dad. Truel a tragedy for both families.

in such case as they cannot or more likely DO NOT pay , crucifixion should be required.

most will find this extreme. I do not.

I could see the someone intentionally making it difficult for the folks who were impacted by his poor decision in the loss of loved one and financial hardships.

Or we could go back to the Old testament ways of doing things - eye for eye and tooth for a tooth. Spread the "love".
