It would solve a lot of issues, and maybe even slow a few others. Once you didn’t have to front the money in CO the application numbers went through the roof.

Utah did the same thing a number of years ago. Being a non resident I had to pick the hunts that I wanted to put in for. It was hard to come up with $3000-$5000 to put in for all the hunts that I wanted so I had to pick and choose..

When they went to post pay the application skyrocketed, and so did point creep.

It's like they only looked at the consequence of more application fees and not the entire picture LOL.

With the states making the DWR pay more and more of their way on their own budget I can understand them going to post pay and getting as many applicants as possible for that application fee.

Arizona also switched over to post pay a number of years ago.
