Beef+fire+smoke= good stuff... what's my prize?
Gift card would work just fine...
How 'bout a cold beer & some beef jerky fresh off the smoker? Hard to do that 'virtually', albeit socially distant....![]()
funny how times change . a few months ago shopping with a mask would have gotten one arrested , now you get a kudos. unless you wear a trump mask , that will likely get you murdered by a lefty wacko.
Our grocery store went to some pretty limited hours which I felt bunched more people with less opportunity to shop. Last week they went back to more traditional hours and the first 2 hours of the day 3 days a week is dedicated to cotton tops. I like that so it spread people out a bit. I'll be there at 6 a.m. this week.
My #2 son (HS senior) works @ one of the local supermarkets; that was me just a lil while ago dropping him off for his shift & getting some shopping in. They're open 8-8; have plexi shields for the checkers; signs on the floors to guide ppl thru the stores/limit close contact in lines; so far it seems to be reasonable, I guess. Our grocery store went to some pretty limited hours which I felt bunched more people with less opportunity to shop. maybe this virus will finally teach people to treat grocery isles as if they were a road . teach them to go the correct way and stay on their own damn side.My #2 son (HS senior) works @ one of the local supermarkets; that was me just a lil while ago dropping him off for his shift & getting some shopping in. I'll be honest as a meat cutter at a competitor of theres I love not having the demos and the grazers in the way as I try and fill the counterI have found that you can now get through all the aisles in Costco now that they have eliminated the free samples.
The free grazers no longer jamb up the ends and you can acually go up and down the aisles without having to turn around and backtracking.
Made a 'lil warming fire last nite to take the chill out; a few of the kids were out playing late; my wife & 2 daughters were on a short nite hike, but no one really was drawn in; which is unusual. So, I had my little fire all to myself. Rare as this was, it was special in its own way: this quiet time quickly became reflective & self therapeutic. So my advice: save the $ from at least 1 therapy appt, go build yourself a little fire, and let the gently crackling flames help sort some of it out for you: from dealing with personal drama, to where you want to apply for a tag.
