Bison mounted and hung

Finally put the bison up on the wall in the right spot.
Pictures rarely do justice of the size.
Think I need a 2nd bison!

It was funny in the process of mounting my Buffalo, my taxidermist said get the classic straight on view. Then a while later another taxidermist told me never get the straight on view, LOL.
I think both of them had the point, the classic straight on is just that and everyone has it just about and the other taxidermist. Get it turned, as

Kinda funny about getting it in. There is a guy down the road from me that has hunted big game all over the world. One day I was driving by and him and another guy were in his drive with tape measure and his full body grizzle bear mount. Found out later they could not get it in the house. They had to take out a wall to get it in.

I've been lucky and drawn some tough tags in WY. The one that's eluded me is the bison.

guess it all depends on where your gonna hang it. I'VE had people ask me ,"should I mount it straight , or turned to the left or turned to the right"

I answered , " well knowing the layout of your house the way I do...………………………???

word of advice,"NEVER, mount a hung bison!"

I hear ya. I'd like to draw a WY Moose one of these years... and maybe get lucky with a Goat draw.
I'd consider applying for BHS if I didn't have to buy the point, may look into that more, but at this point I don't want/need WY sheep points, way too long of odds, i figure the random tag is my only chance.

haha, I was thinking about a turned head mount, but full body bison would just be ridiculous! you're making me think...

Kind of want to take a bison with a .458 Lott... kind of a modern throw back to the was it 45-110/45-120, I think some guys use the .45-70...
