So far 12K steps and 6 miles of walking for the day. A solid hour of continuous exercise according to Mr. Fitbit. Who knew a few hours at the rifle range could be so healthy? A bit smoky down in the Springs and Fountain area though.

Making faster times on the twice around the neighborhood laps.

Thursday
Ran outside was rough took a water stretch break at 2 miles as it was hot at 4:30 today. 85 and humid kicks my butt. I work in 35-40 degree room all day so its hard going to high temps.

Then did 16 mins on the elliptical a little slower then normal but not by much. Ended up at 1.45 miles

7 AM Saturday morning run. For a training run it was a good indicator of my progress thus far. Due to an injury I was unable to compete in the WV Ogden half marathon which is slated as the toughest half in the country. Now I'm aiming toward the Columbus Ohio Children's Hospital Half. I don't consider myself a runner but an athlete. However the training goes a lot easier when you have some goals to aim for. One month after the race I'll be headed to Wyoming for a very challenging hunt and I'm sure this training coupled with my four-day week weightlifting will be very beneficial.
But let's be honest being healthy and living a body positive lifestyle is the ultimate reward for ourselves and our families. [emoji1303]

Measured at 110 degree knee flexion yesterday at PT. My PT therapist had me flex my quad and he said: "Wow! What have you been doing?" My reply: "Hanging out at the rifle range, retrieving paper targets, and shooting steel animals." He just looked at me funny.

Getting close. I have the most trouble sitting in a normal position for any length of time, such as a seat. Painful. Testing myself by driving up to Cody and Burlington, WY this week to hangout with family and the Gunwerks crew.

My longest flights are about seven hours, so if I can make this trip without too much whining, I will start making motions about going back to work when able.

Making progress.

I also think the Fitbit is a good compliment to whatever else you use to track fitness. It keeps you honest. I will admit to pulling off the highway to get the last of my 250 steps for the hour completed...

That is a bit twisted.

Yeah my phone did some number tracking for steps.

Use myfitnesspal and mapmyrun for food and exercise tracking
