Have they always charged the PIW fees when you first apply? I thought you only got put in that drawing if you didn't draw in the regular draw.

I am pretty sure they always charged the $10 or $15 dollars at the application time.....I can double check when I get to a computer if need be.

Thanks but not that big of deal, man it get spendy quick $300 for 2 of us and we still need to do deer and cow elk. Might have to skip silver state draw this year.

So I looked it up anyway and last year we did not get charged the PIW until May, May 31st for me to be exact. Sounds like now we have to pay everything up front.

I haven't been on site for awhile but was thinking of applying for antelope in Nv. this year along with deer. Drew deer area 231 in 2014 with 8 pts. have drawn 111 couple times in the past.
I have points for :
deer 2
lope 12
antlered elk 11
nelson bighorn 11
ca. bighorn 11
I have started trying to burn points in Az., Nv., Ut. and Wy.. Ca. also. My knees are shot.
Trying to pick a good lope area in Nv. this year. Was close to applying for lope in Ut. also but chose not to. Will apply for lope in Wy. but building points back up and have only a couple.
I've seen antelope while hunting deer near Ely, Austin and Pioche but other than that I have no info.
Any help would be appreciated very much.
Thanks

The Austin area has plenty of Antelope. Antelope valley South, South West of Battle Mountain is a big valley full of alfalfa and the rancher there have no problem with guys hunting the antelope on their fields.

Good luck

I've hunted or been with hunters in all the areas you mentioned plus the Ruby Valley, the O'Neil basin, near Wildhorse Res, Lund NV and there has never seen a shortage of bucks to choose from.
Pick the area with the best odds if you just want to use your points but as a non-res it might still take several year to draw.

Only a few more days to get your applications in.

Don’t wait and loose your points! Missing the deadline twice you will loose your points.

I'm really hoping New Mexico gives out their results before I apply here. Last year I got inpatient and applied here then NM gave their results before the NV deadline. I ended up with a depredation bull tag in NV and an archery bull tag in NM during the same time frame. As awesome as that sounds, it sucked!!!

Hopefully most has gotten their apps in and not waiting till the last minute.

Now that you’ve seen your point totals what are you hoping to draw or confident that you will draw?

Unfortunately for me I’m pretty sure I’ll get a doe antelope tag and that’s it. I’ll use this tag as a scouting trip for deer that I want to get back into. This old hunting spot was awesome 10-15 years ago. Hope it’s come back

Not expecting anything. Only eligible for deer and sheep. Points for deer since I already drew Arizona elk.

Cow elk for the group
Bull elk for my son 5 points
Son in law a sheep tag 19 points
Maybe antelope for my son 3 archery points

Has any body heard for sure about how the results will be handled this year? I know it says june but it always has. Turkey was emailed early and money taken that night.
Was nice in the past to be able to shift monies if needed with 3 people putting in on one card

In for deer and antelope. Just started applying for Nevada last year so only have a point for antelope. Got lucky and drew deer.
