They go quick.

One reason is that I know there is a couple of "services" now where you give them your wanted tags list and for a finders fee they look over the list every update - if they get your tag for ya it is a set price structure quickly going over $1000 finders fee or more for the tag..
Should have known this would start happening...

This whole process is unbelievable. It's just to the point if you want a decent hunt u must pay an outrageous fee. Even then it seems that others are cutting corners to beat u to the overpriced tag.

Not sure if that is fair but is what it is.. I wish that at least you had to get a tag for you as having these types of paid tag hunters is not what the leftover list should be about.
How exactly does that work? You must have to give them your CID number and login in your name?

Someone is always trying to make a dollar! People are too lazy to check the leftover list, so they pay someone to do it for them! Probably the same type of guys that pay for GPS coordinates for a buck.

Is it legal? As the person buying the tag has to "OK" on the legal acknowledgement statement. Unless you have a notary or signature guarantee in hand right, it's not legit right? Along the lines of the landowner tag pimps before CPW shut that down.

I know from other forums that there are computer programs that will repeatedly refresh a web site. When it has a change, like a new tag added, it is set to alert you. I'm sure that same type of program is being used here.

Has anyone here picked up a tag from the leftover list since it's been available for online purchases? I've seen a few decent tags pop up and disappear real quick.
I'm not really looking to buy anything unless a bomber tag came up. There have been a couple elk tags though that I would have definitely bought if my fall wasn't already full. Couple 1-3 point tags. I know one guy though who picked up a 20 point NR deer tag... Unbelievable.
