34 applicants for 8 permits. Not great odds but was planning to be in the area for other species so thought it would be nice to have the tag.

My group drew the GEN tag as expected. We have a guided hunt in the later part of Oct. with a great outfitter that I have used before. To my surprise, I also drew a 103 - type 6 (cow) tag. I applied for it last year, and didn't draw, as there were only 16 NR tags for the 53 applicants. I have a place to stay, and access thru private land, but that part of WY has had a very, very tough winter so far, and they even opened up a special late season to reduce the elk herd.
