Well, got my 2016 buck Saturday night. He was rutting and chasing deer for 30-45 minutes before he offered me a shot. He came under my stand at a maximum of 2 yards, then chased deer in front of it allowing me to draw 4 times before he stood still long enough for me to execute a shot. Guessed him at 30 and he was 33 so shot was a little low, but clipped the bottom of his heart and he only made it another 10 yards before falling over. Can't beat that tracking job!

Nice! I haven't been on the site much lately and was just coming to see if you had done more spot and stalking. I was out this weekend and turned up 11 bucks in 4 sits (4 different spots). I drew the either species/either sex rifle tag so just scouting for now.

Gorgeous buck and very nice photo's too!
Honestly not sure how they turned out that well. My camera died (of course) after three shots all of which sucked, so I had to use my cell phone propped up on my pack. Talk about a pain in the butt. Thought the moon was a pretty cool touch though. Timing is everything I guess.

Missed a buck doing some spot and stalk. Clipped a branch and hit low. Other than that it was just too noisy this year to spot and stalk with it being so dry and calm days. I ended up killing this guy in a tree stand which wasn't my first choice, but desperate times call for desperate measures. They were rutting hard though!

I'm heading out west with some family for rifle to help them out. I'll let you know if I see any mule deer. What zone do you have this year? Same as last?

I drew the western zone this year, which should be a LOT easier to find a mule deer. I've already found two bucks, one I'd shoot on the first day and one I'd shoot on the last.

How about this video though?
