I cannot believe what we all saw on tv last night in Dallas! Those poor Police officers that are to " server and protect" we're doing there job yesterday and now five families won't have a husband, dad, grandpa...... Please keep them in our thoughts and prayers! May the injured heal quickly!

Now appears there was only one shooter. Will not write his name. He had served in the U.S. Army Reserve, training as a carpentry and masonry specialist, two U.S. defense officials said. Sad, sad day.

I served 30 years as a police officer, after six years in the Marines. This sort of action only serves to increase the divide between the police and those they serve. In that environment, it's hard to not develop a siege mentality, us VS: them, Helter Skelter. God Bless our men and women who put their lives on the line for us.

Ricmic thanks for serving and protecting our country. Even reading the headlines about the cops being shot gets my blood boiling. Pretty sad that one can go out and shoot a guy that's simply doing his job. Really don't think they get paid enough to do what they do.

Put Christ back in the hearts of the people in this country, and we'd solve a lot of these problems.
Pray for their families and all the current police officers that are asked to hit the street everyday to protect us.

I won't try to answer the question as to why this happened, because I am sure that for everyone one reason that I come up with there are 10 more that are just as valid. But my heart is heavy for the Dallas PD and all the families affected by this atrocity, both black and white families. Just remember that there is a lot of evil in this world and without the few that are willing to strap on a bullet proof vest and badge, that evil would run rampant and take over our country even more that it already has. I know that I will make a point to thank the men and women wearing a badge when I see them, who knows it could be the last kind thing that person may ever hear. God Bless!
