WY Deer areas 84 & 37

I have 4 deer points and it looks like I may not be able to Draw region G in the special draw. It looks like I could draw 84 or 37. I'd like to get some feedback from people how hunted these in the past few seasons before I talk to the biologist for these areas. Looking for a 150 in or better buck but not sure if its worth burning my 4 points on these.

Any info would be greatly appreciated

I think you are right about G with 4 points. It has been running almost a full point creep per year for the past 4 years:

2012: 27% draw with 1 point (Special)
2013: 70% draw with 2 points (Special)
2014: 99% draw with 3 points (Special)
2014: 90% draw with 4 points (Special)

With that trend it could take 5 this year.

That's also the way I look at it. I'll see what info I get on these two units and make my decision. I can put off the deer hunt as I'll probably draw antelope this year.

The only one of the two you mentioned that could come close to G is private land in 84. 37 is not even close. In fact, you'd have your work cut out for you to top 150" on public land in 37, or 84 for that matter. If you are very savvy with the map, 84 is hunt-able on public, but private access would put the odds in your favor considerably.

I have been in 37 earlier than the deer season starts and saw several good bucks on public land, one really decent mule deer. Whether they are there when the hunt starts I don't know...
