Spring means work for me! Getting a stock run of irrigation water in 3 weeks. Need to go thru my system to make sure everything is ok. Pressure washed my 4 wheeler yesterday, getting off all the winter mud. Have a big burn pile from last years pruning to burn on a day when there is not much wind. Have a new chicken coop coming, have to level a spot for it. Also am doing a three day scouting trip for a new antelope area here in sw Co. That's all this month! Don't know when I ever had time to work...............LOL

The Puff Daddys' are starting to do there thing around here. Can't start the hunt here until April 30th. Sigh

I just can't get the urge to go crawl through all the snakes and get carried off by chiggers that time of year. Plenty of birds on public land in our area though from the super stocking NWTF has done.

Easterns, deep East Tx. Basically around Sam Rayburn Reservoir.

I see that red river county claims to be the eastern wild turkey capitol of texas!

Highest population of them is on several properties is SE Nacogdoches Co. Very few folks on those leases even hunt them..same thing on the public land in SW San Augustine Co. Not a whole lot of folks know they were betting them on the leases and releasing on public. It didn't take them long to find the food plots and feeders around that public though.

Turkey hunting time, watch the woods wake up and turn green. Good place to take naps too. Anybody else ever wake up to birds in your decoys?
