Just be careful what you ask for. Jesse Ventura was a breath of fresh air for a lot of us in Minnesota.....but believe me, he got real old, real fast. I doubt if he would have gotten 20% of the vote if he had decided to run for a second term. And this is an opinion from someone who voted for him.

Went to my FFL today to pickup an AR10 and 2 AR15 lowers I had sent there and came home with a Springfield 1911! I been thinking about it for a while and decided since I was doing paperwork and background check anyways might as well add 1 more to it. Luckily they didnt delay the background check so I got to come home with everything today!!!

RICMIC, I think " the body" was slammed on a corner post a few too many times. IMO he's a complete douche now, still wining about getting knocked out by Chris Kyle. My last post was mostly tongue-in- cheek. Anyone but Hillary, and Uncle Joe, and Social Bernie, and any other socialist/ communist. Politicians are a general waste of skin and oxygen. There, now I feel better!!!

Extractor, Yeah, I agree with you. Some of these guys are entertaining for the time being. This isn't the place to get too political as it is easy to get too worked up about it. As a hunting forum, we need to keep in mind what effect some of the yahoos can have on us once they get elected. We've already seen too much of that. I am seriously afraid of what hunting opportunities will remain a generation from now.

Finally got my CCW in the mail. Not that I plan to pack a hand gun with me but I can if I feel the need. Also it will be nice not to have to pay the background checks anymore when I purchase a new gun.

I got my CC permit about 2 years ago. Early on I didn't carry much until I got a really comfortable holster. I now have gotten so used to wearing it I feel weird when I am in a place I can't wear it. I now carry everywhere legal unless I'm having a beer on the weekend...

What holster did you end up with?

Fox. Under the belt clips and I paid extra for the pad. I can roll around with the kids and not ever feel it. Sprint down the block...whatever it isn't coming out. I do wear my belt fairly tight- always have. I was worried it would be hard to conceal since I have love handles- not exactly skinny- but even with a fitted shirt it's invisible if I wear it in the right spot.

RICMIC, I agree too,not the forum for politics unless it effects our right to enjoy our shooting and hunting sports . We still need to be vigilant or our rights will slowly but surely be taken from us by those who know what's best for us.

Ikeepitcold, congrats on your cc. A good place for a Taurus Judge is under the middle of the back seat of the pick-up, very handy for snakes.... Slithering and two-legged.

4x12' trailer with a separator gate in the middle. Forget how tall it is, likely 5' since I can reach the top gate latch from the ground. He got put on calf scales and buyer weighed him the following day and he hadn't lost but a half a pound.

I still have to do a background check here even with a CPL and an 03 FFL (C&R). The only difference here is with the CPL I dont have to wait to be approved by the local sheriff to buy a handgun.
