Got to finally get out 2 weekends ago with my kids and hang up some cameras.
Cabin.jpgCamp.jpgElk.jpgMeadow.jpgTrout.jpg
First picture is of what I believe is an old trappers cabin.
Second picture is my new Snugpak Bunker tent that I bought from Coastal Arms a forum sponsor, that thing is nice! woke up the first morning and it was 39 degrees outside and about 65 degrees inside! I was sleeping on top of my bag it was so nice in the tent. The third picture is of 2 small bulls we came across when we were hiking in. Last picture is of a trout that was not doing a very good job hiding.

That looks to be a big bull and no better way to get out than with your family.

Here are a couple more from me same deer different day. Had to go back for another look at this guy. Came to the conclusion is a very good buck, younger, with a boat load of potential. My guess he finishes in the low to mid 190's gross this year. After looking at him again he is exactly the type of deer I hope to see make 1 more run around sol as next year he has the potential to be a hog but it would sure be hard to pass him up!

Also there is a video of the above buck at the link below.

Nice work CC as I know you were concerned.

Looks like I've narrowed down the area I'm going to hunt. Found several good camping spots too. One more trip in about a month should do it. The area really looks promising, just have to see how much pressure it gets during archery season before M/L starts.

I was able to get out again and this guy gave me a good chance for a pic. Too bad his fronts dont match his backs!

Came across a good group of over 20 goats as well. They sure end up in some gnarly places.

A few deer this week, lots of elk, and it is cold. Freezing above 11k the bulls are bugling daily now and the smaller bulls are forming cows into groups. I wanted to tell the small bull in the pic to stop wasting so much energy keeping his small flock together as soon the big boys will show up and all his effort will be in wasted lol! You can feel it in the air up high as fall is very close now...
