Thanks. I wasn't going to say anything, but...

Actually, the way I got the copy editor job was that I complained to Guy about the typos, so I completely understand where people are coming from.
Don't get me wrong! The mags have improved in that respect 1000% since you took over that job! Spelling and sentence structure have always been a pet peeve of mine in anything I read. Reading a lot of Forum posts on various websites the last few years has really opened my eyes to the lack of schooling many have had or maybe they just don't care. However, I take a person a lot more seriously if they can spell their name, LOL!

I currently have no way to save an issue to ibooks (PDF) when using my iphone.

The "digital subscribers download today" link sends me to a subscription signup page or times out the browser. Clicking that little book icon in the upper right times out the browser.

Bob, this is just an add from the magazine. To download click the little box with an arrow in it while you have the app open. After it finishes downloading you will be able to read that magazine when you don't have service or Wifi.

Got it, thank you.
I was opening the email link on my phone. That brought me to the web reader and there isn't a function to save from there on the iphone. The up arrow box would only open the options panel with no valid option for saving.

By going to the App Store and installing the Eastmans App(s), the publication was pulled from the Eastmans library to the Iphone for reading. From that screen, I tapped the "tap to read articles" and the publication was downloaded and saved to the Iphone Newsstand.
Much Appreciated and I'll be adding the digital version.

Dave, I hope you know I was playing with you. You do a terrific job and the magazines are great! My apologies if any offense was taken, none was meant. Have a wonderful 2015.

I have the digital magazine downloaded to my I-pad and I want to enlarge some of the charts and such so that I can read them. The normal touch and spread the fingers doesn't work and I haven't found any zoom feature on the reader. Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks,

Horniac

I found the same thing in the latest issue on my I-phone. I can tap and then zoom with fingers on most of the charts except for Utah. I only tried deer and elk but had the same problem. The AZ charts worked but UT didn't.

Wow! This is why some of us older guys will just sit by the mailbox and wait for our old fashioned paper magazines.

I'm sorry I started this thread going in this direction. I sometimes find that it helps to go in a dark corner, close my eyes, cover my ears, and go "La. La, La, La, La" until I feel better. A better solution is to go way back in the mountains and just go hunting.

This had been a good thread, dont feel like you started anything going in a bad direction. There are still alot of unanswered questions for those of us that dont want to switch to digital.

Yep, I agree with that comment. I can't find any kind of a deal in the store where those of us that get both magazines in print and would want to also get access to the digital versions as well would have that option with out paying a lot of additional money. Maybe I'm just missing it and the higher ups that are reading this thread will come up with something because IMHO that option could keep a lot of people subscribing that may drop things completely and not renew at all.

I couldnt find any kind of package for those of us that want to keep the printed mag to include digital so we can access the MRS either. As it is now I feel like I would have to pay for it twice to get what I had before. Really I would just like to know why I now dont have access to something that used to be included with my subscription. The printed price didnt go down but now I am getting less for my money. Maybe in this modern age thats just the way it goes for us "holdouts" that want printed mags. lol
