I ran into this pair while I was out hiking with my lab this morning. The bull is sure interested in the cow but she's being coy. Neither of them were happy to see me or my dog.
Just as my luck runs, moose are easier to find near home than where my son has a tag. So far on the last 2 flights over there we've counted 85 bears and 4 moose. Only one young bull. But from here on out the bulls should be moving better and we have to the 25th to get it done.

Your pictures are just FANASTIC, I always check for any of your postings. I'd be happy with either one of the bulls next year. My only hope is I capture great pictures like yours!

Thanks all. My run of hunting luck is horrible this year, just after posting these photos I went out to clean my rain gutters for tomorrows big forecast rain; ladder slip, E.R. and a complete dislocation of my right shoulder. Plus a few other dents and bruises.

Gonna make flying or packing a moose a lot more challenging. We might, only get photos this season. Ya know, falling off the roof just isn't as fun as it once was!!

Great pictures as always! Sorry to hear the news on your fall- those take some time the older we get for sure. Really hope you still get your son a chance to get out- best wishes on a speedy recovery!

Sheez!! Glad you didn't have anything more life threatening. My grandfather fell off his roof while painting dormers [..."what the hell was he doing painting dormers?!"] and broke two vertebrae and every rib on his right side. He's recovered remarkable well and still joins his youngest grandson in a ground blind for whitetail opener.

Anyway- hope your luck turns and you heal fast.

Thanks guys, but I doubt that I'd be safe to fly the airplane for this hunt. We have a December season that should be doable though. I'll be 60 next month and I don't seem to heal up as fast as I used too.
