I have never used one before but I did buy the Montana Eichler this year so I will let you know how it works. I have never really needed one but I have had bigger bulls not want to engage during the start of the rut. I thought this might entice them a little but the circumstances will have to be right for me to use it. My buddy drew a premium unit 1 bull tag in AZ for archery bull this year and thought this might come in handy. I think all decoys are a little bulky to deal with out in the field but who cares if it does its job.

I have quite a bit of experience with them. If you search the past topics you will find a couple of threads discussing their use and different models that members prefer. They can work very good in some situations if you set up properly. I find I leave mine in the truck for longer hunts because they can be a pain to haul around. If you buy one, look for a light, easily transported one.

you said it right, if you use it wrong it will ruin a hunt, but if used right it can be the one thing that pulls that big heard bull from behind his pine tree 80yrds away.
