X9c or X10 for mule deer in California

Depends on what kind of hunting you want to do. If you are willing to hunt hard in the back country then I would draw X8. If you like to do outfitted hunts either drop camp or fully then let me know and I can connect you with JC High Country in there. The numbers of deer have been down in there for a while but they are coming back and there are some toads in there.

I definitely wouldn't waste your points on X-10 you could probably draw that with no points if it was your first choice.

Many more deer and still a chance at 180"+. Or if you are bow hunters go for X12 this year.
Not too many deer from that unit have ever measured 180"+ in it's history........but a 150" caliber deer is possible in that unit with some luck.
