Nice one Elktrout! Do you have a pic of your buddies goat, that is if he doesn't mind you sharing. You are getting me pumped for my 1st lope hunt in 10 days!

Thanks, the wife and I are holding out for one of the ultra units. But I have two newbies, one I took on an antelope hunt two years ago and he killed a very nice antelope for a leftover tag unit. Now he wants a nicer one and my other friend I'd just like to have a nice limited pressure hunt. How were the other hunters? Did you hunt the opening day? I have had good luck going later in the season.

I'd be more than happy with either of those elktrout! Thanks again for sharing. I can't decide what I want to do with my 4 points next year. Hunting 3rd choice unit and a leftover this year.

We hunted opening weekend! Game warden that we spoke with said hunting pressure seemed to be down. I saw other hunters but never felt pressure.

Drove up from Colorado for a solo hunt on Saturday. Wasn't able to join the hunt with my brother and ElkTrout a few weeks earlier. Glassed alot of goats throughout a good portion of the unit. Was going to hunt Sunday morning chasing a nice buck I had seen earlier, but stumbled on this one late in the afternoon. Just hit 14 1/4" on length, but he more than made up for a little shorter length with some great mass and some very nice cutters. Was very happy with this buck as he unofficially 75"-76" All-in-all, there were some nice goats, but other than this one, not much to report. As others have reported, the drought has taken a toll on the herd
