I just hit the last button on submitting my application for unit 66. Cant wait to see if I get drawn. I was wondering if anybody has ever hunted this unit and could let me know what kind of terrain is present and if the animals are abundant or if it will take some work just to find them. Just looking for a decent respectable buck to put on the wall, not looking for a booner by any means. The way the maps look there are 2 track roads everywhere in the unit but I plan to walk around and try to get one that way. And will be camping on the blm is there anything I should be worried about while doing this? Also if there is any fish in the river/creek running through the unit. if I get my lope early in the hunt it would be nice to spend a little more time out there doing something. Thanks for reading and any info you can shed on the unit.

Looks like Beaver Creek has some decent fishing in it. Go with small tackle but there may be some warm water fish in it too.

I'd start on the SE side of the unit and work NE. East side is kind of tame, and as you go to the West side it turns to rougher country.

Unit 66 is a great area with numerous antelope. An 80 inch antelope is a possibility. I would recommend the northeast part of the unit near the reservation boundary. Good luck on the draw!

Unit 66 is part of the Lander One Shot deal always stayed away because of that...
What is the lander one shot deal that you are talking about here? And why does it make you stay away from this unit? Thanks for all the other replies!
