Wyoming unit 34

Anyone have a opinion on the unit? Not looking for info on where to hunt.....just your feedback about quality and numbers of deer. I have enough points to draw the unit.

The unit doesn't hold a large amount of deer, but there are some good bucks if you can find them. If you draw the tag, I'd suggest concentrating on the northwest part of the unit.

Top gun makes a good assessment of the area. For example, I've hunted both 34 and 102. In 102 you might see 10-20 decent bucks (say 4 pt or mature-ish 3s) in a good day of hunting, 34 only a few. The bio report shows the winter of 10/11 having some negative effects on deer numbers (it also did in 102 and many other areas). We are only a few years removed from that winter. The bio report also shows deer below objective, a number which may never be achievable. It boils down to what expectations you have. A good mature (say 5+ yo) deer can be found, but not easily.
