Wyoming's web site is too confusing for me. I am trying to figure out about how many points it takes to get a type 9 tag for area 38,39. It looks to me like it takes 6-7 points. (Non-resident)

Look at the PP draw (regular or special depending on what draw you want to go in) and see what is the lowest point class that everyone that applied drew. That will tell you how many points you needed last year to draw.

The OP is correct. Both took more than 6 for a 100% draw in the Regular Draw and 6 was 100% in the Special Draw. Less than 6 in both Special Draws was 0%. With PP creep it may well take 7 in 2015 since the max will be 9 that anyone would have. Those are two units that don't allow a Type 1 tag holder to buy an archery permit, so if you want to hunt the September season during the rut in either one of them you have to go the Type 9 tag route.
