Just returned from the Bighorns and a successful mule deer hunt, not however without a lot of hard work. Due to very warm days and crystal clear full moon nights the deer weren't moving much during the daylight hours. Put on lots of miles searching, scouting, hunting different spots. Finally late in the week relief in the form of a couple of weather systems moving through which seemed to cause a slight uptick in deer movement. I managed to get in front of a feeding fork horn and 3x3. I got an arrow into the 3x3 and I'll be bring home venison.
I guess the hunts you remember the most are the ones you have to work the hardest at to be successful.
