Anyone know how the deer hunting up in the north part of 25 has been? I was looking at Fisher mountain, it looks pretty rough in there. Is it possible to get in away from the crowd there? Looks like awesome country anyways. Never been there so I don't have a clue, I could draw the tag with no points (I think). And it would be rifle, and possibly backpacking if the weather is somewhat descent. Thanks go any info!

Cant help you with 25, but you should draw it 1st choice. Last year 2nd choice Y was not guaranteed.

I would guess you will not run into many deer hunters back in, as most of them seem to be further South toward Kaycee.

Its more elk country but I bet some nice bucks call it home. If I was to apply for Y this year I myself would spend a few days in there depending on weather.

Thanks for the info! On Google earth it looks pretty nice and a ways from the road, would think there should be some bucks in there.

I'm hoping to draw Y this year also. Going to hunt the northern end of it though.

You sure would think with the pressure farther south, some would move north.
