i thought you can start buying points beginning july 1st but wgf&p website says, Hunters who did not apply for preference points in 2014 drawings can begin applying for points july 1st! Anybody understand this? Is this new?

You can buy a point for a specie up to end of September I believe...not exactly sure if that's your question or not. .but there is plenty of time

I logged in and tried but maybe its not up and running yet. Idk. Then seen that on their home page about "if you didnt apply in 2014 you can start purchasing them"! Just confused i guess

I think that may be last years info; that if you did not apply for pref. pts. while applying for a tag before the draw, then you can just buy the point later in the year. So, there is no connection between what you did in 2014 and 2015. My understanding is that if you draw a tag for a species (1st choice), you may not buy a pref. pt. for that species for the same year. Anyone please jump in if I am wrong on this.

They have to take down the Super Tag chances before they can add the Preference Point link...they don't have another slot built into their program...so tomorrow for Preference Points.

I figured it was something like that when I tried.

It says on their website that preference points go on sale July 2nd. July 8th is when the leftover tags go on sale.
