I am hoping to draw my tag this year for Wyoming and am heading out for the rifle season. I would like to try and get one with my bow first and than if I cant I will switch to the rifle. so I was wondering if I use a bow during rifle season do I still need the bow stamp? Thanks for any help!

I don't believe you need an archery license to hunt with a bow during the rifle season. I think it's just for the special bow season. Not 100% because I always hunt the archery season

WY does call it an "any weapon" tag, but as far as those legal questions you should always go to the source. Call the WY G&F Info Center at #307-777-4600; the web site is wgfd.wyo.gov

No archery license required for bowhunting during the rifle, any weapon, season. You must where orange though. I would suggest a camo orange cap for archery hunting during rifle season. If it is deer hunting you may be able to hunt last day of archery season then go right into the rifle season, if the area opens on Oct. 1, same for antelope if seasons align.

Just remember if you hunt the last day of archery season even if it's for 1 day you will need the archery liscense to be legal, if going that route. Or just wait til the rifle opener and you won't need the archery liscense, just orange as stated above.

I'd go out a day or 2 early and hunt the end of the bow season/scout for rifle...

good luck!

what's the stamp, $10? call em, they usually know or can get the answer for you, worst case spend the 10 and be safe rather than sorry.
