Tossing around the idea of doing the same elk hunt I did last season but wanting to venture a little further into the wilderness with horses and am skeptical about doing it solo again this year. I’m a resident so I can go into the wilderness without a guide. Potentially looking for a hunting partner, resident or nonresident, that is looking for an adventure, not for the faint of heart. Archery or rifle it doesn’t matter. Someone to camp with and help each other quarter and pack out when the time comes. The spot I have in mind is a 12 mile trail ride into grizz country. Preferably looking for someone who has experience with horses. I rented horses last year to pack out a bull/ but hadn’t been on a horse but one time before that lmao. Hell of a place to learn.
I’m not going to drop the unit # on here but this is a general unit that can produce quality bulls if you let it. I’m looking for something 320”+ unless it comes down to the last few days. If this sounds like something you might be interested in this fall send me a pm.
