I am looking at applying my wife and I for a type 6 elk tag in 91, 92, or 94. Curious how the access is on the different units. We don't have horses but don't mind hiking in a ways. Is one better for hiking then the others? Do any of them have lots of atv traffic? All of them look like they have a good amount of national forest with 92 and 94 having lots of blm also.

Probably an ideal area for us would be one that we could car camp at and hike in and out everyday with good glassing areas. I don't have all the backpacking gear for her and our 9 year old yet so its better for us right now to day hunt. This last year she went on her first hunt and killed a nice little muley and really wants to elk hunt. If we don't draw Wyoming I'll apply her for a cow tag in Colorado probably.

Anyway any general info on the 3 units about access and traffic, how thick or open, etc would be really appreciated.

Regards, Branden
