WOW CC. Sorry to hear this.
I'm going to do a quick analysis of results as many units were odd this year. Some went the opposite direction- go figure.

On my antelope area all the applicants that usually went the special draw way went to the regular PP draw. I looked and the PP went up from 6 to 7 for 100% draw.

I was not drawn for any of my choices. Still learning the WY draw process. I'm still not sure how some hunter drew buck and doe tags for the same species. Didn't know that was a possibility so I did not apply for any doe tags

For the deer area my son and I put in for 3 pps were a lock last year this year it was 5. We had 4, frustratrating but he drew a decent antelope tag so now hopefully we can pull something out of the leftover draw.

All my plans got screwed up. Didn’t draw buck antelope that I thought was easy, but drew 2 doe tags and a area 34 deer tag I wasn’t planning on. Scratch the Co elk hunt and I’ll hunt all season for deer

I am really pissed off! I have max deer pts and put in for a special tag....did not get drawn. Last year it would have been a lock. WTF....
128 or 130? I noticed some huge shifts in the max point pools. 102 went from a 50% draw to 100%. With so many hunting publications out there these days, I suspect they are pushing the applicants around. In several units such as 101, 128 & 130 there are very few NR tags. It doesn't take many people to jump hunts for this to happen. My unit, 87, had virtually same draw stats as last year.

I think that with the increase for the tags that a lot of applicants switched up things big time. My antelope unit took 5 points for the special and 5-6 points with the regular draw. This year just about all the people that put in for the special draw switched it up and dropped down to the regular draw where not it takes 7 points to draw the regular one, I didn't look to see what it did with the special draw.

Perhaps a lot of people put in for the special draw in areas just to burn their points, or they could of been point banking and then cashed in, but who knows?

A buddy and I hunted 74 for goats a few years ago and saw some nice buck deer. So I convinced him to apply for 90 deer last year and surprisingly he drew. Don't know what the odds would be for drawing it two years in a row, but he drew it again this year. Also had a friend draw an 89 deer tag. I'm headed to G and already have some six packs on the line for the biggest buck...

Probability of drawing 90 two years in a row for a resident is .58% and for a NR .02%. Your buddy is lucky.
