Wyoming Bonus Points

Quick question for the forum.

I'm embarrassed I don't know this as a WY resident, but can WY residents build bonus points for Antelope, Deer or Elk in Wyoming? I'm under the impression we can only build points for Bighorns, Goats and Moose.

I ran across this link on the WGFD website, but it doesn't specify if it's for residents and/or non-residents.

https://wgfd.wyo.gov/elsapplication/docs/faq.htm#Q20

Thanks

Non-residents only for elk, deer and antelope. Residents are random draw with a guaranteed general tag for elk and deer if not drawn. I guess if you don't draw antelope then you can't hunt that year unless it's leftover? Not sure how that one works.

Residents and non-residents can build points for sheep and moose, but all mountain goat permits are random draw (I believe there are only 6-8 permits total per year).

Thanks, that's what I thought. I've got a buddy who claims his Dad has a whole load of points for Elk as a WY resident, but from what I can find resident bonus points are limited to trophy species.

Don't feel too bad. I didn't know residents couldn't get points for elk, deer, and antelope until I was informed on this site also. When you go to buy points and you are logged in as a resident, the option for elk, deer, and antelope points are not listed.
